Sunday was Kate's first riding lesson. The stable itself is beautiful--and they have an indoor arena, which was good, because it was POURING!! Kate was able to ride this horse, which is an older horse and good with kids and going slow. She really enjoyed it!! The teacher told her that next week, she will be riding a horse that is a bit more "spirited" so she is looking forward to that. She guided the horse in circles all around the arena, and those two PVC pipes? She even got her horse to walk over those!! She was asking all about cantering and the instructor let her try and trot (although the older horse was not really happy about that...). I couldn't believe in her first lesson all that was accomplished. She will have lessons on Sunday afternoon, and she can't wait until next week!
